Hey guys! A couple of days ago, I watched the new short film called "Real Gone". The video was directed by Seth Worley and produced by Ryan Connolly from FilmRiot. Overall this film was a really good film in terms of visual story telling and creative ideas. Before you continue reading, I would like you to go and watch the short film.
I'm going to guess that you watched the short film so i'll go ahead and continue. So as you may have seen, the film is about a guy who attempts to commit suicide but fails every time he tries. After saving a girl from a burning building, he finally fulfills his own lives goal and gets killed by a firetruck. As weird as it may have been, I really enjoyed watching the film. The first thing that you should have noticed would be the funny and creative ideas that they had. Instead of showing the common ways of suicide, the guy did a whole bunch of outrageous things like drinking motor oil and pouring gasoline all over his body. They ideas that they had kept the pace nice and smooth and helped the story go along. The second thing that I liked was the shots. In the beginning sequence of the guy in heaven, all the shots are all compressed in the background with some bokeh to push that heavenly feeling. All of the shots of the guy and his boring life were all shot on a tripod to emphasis the boringness. Thats about it so until next time, bye!
